1. Your stay

1 What is the check-in and check-out time?

The check-in time is from 4:00 PM and the check-out time is until 10:00 AM. Guests are kindly requested to notify us if they arrive after 8:00 PM.

2 Do we need to bring towels / bedding?

Towels and bed linen are provided; however, please note that pool towels must be brought by guests themselves.

3 Is breakfast / dinner provided?

We do not provide breakfast nor dinner services as each holiday house is equipped with its own kitchenette for your convenience. We do offer various services to provide guests with meals and groceries.

4 Can I bring my pet?

Pets are allowed upon request and written confirmation from the landlord at a rate of €50 per pet per booking. Pets must be leashed at all times on the property.

2. Your holiday house

1 Is parking provided?

Parking is available at each holiday house.

2 Do you have internet access?

Yes, each house as well as the bar area has fast and reliable Wifi.

3 How do we heat / cool down our holiday house?

Each holiday house is equipped with air conditioning that can both heat and cool the space. The air conditioning should be turned off when customers are not in the residence. Casa Rincon also features a wood-burning stove.

Vila Franca da Serra enjoys a Mediterranean climate characterized by hot and dry summers and colder winters, with pleasantly cool nights during the summer season.

4 Can you drink the water?

The tap water is drinkable but not recommended due to its high iron content.

The driving time from Vila Franca da Serra to Porto Airport is approximately 2h, depending on the specific route and traffic conditions. The driving time to Lisbon Airport is approximately 3h30, also depending on the route and traffic.

2 What is the distance to the beach?

The driving time to the coast varies depending on the desired location. For example, the drive to Aveiro (125 km) can take approximately 1h30, depending on the exact route and conditions.

3 Where can we taste the best wines?

4. Your reservation

1 Is there a minimum length of stay?

The minimum rental duration varies based on the time of the year. Outside school holidays and peak season, the minimum stay is 2 nights. During school holidays outside peak season, a minimum of 3 nights is required. In peak season, the rental period is a minimum of 7 days with a changeover on Saturdays.

2 When is my reservation confirmed?

Quinta da Estrela will confirm the reservation request by email within 24 hours. The reservation will be considered confirmed upon receipt of a deposit, which should be submitted within 7 days after confirmation of reservation request and constitutes 50% of the total rental fee. The remaining payment should be made no later than two months before the arrival date to secure the booking.

3 Which payment methods do you offer?

Bookings can be conveniently paid directly through our website. Payments at the establishment can be made in cash or using a debit/credit card.

4 I can’t make it, can I cancel my booking?

Yes, you can cancel your booking through the contact form. Specific regulations can be found in the terms and conditions.

5. Guidelines

1 What facilities does the Quinta have?

We offer the following facilities: a jacuzzi, swimming pool, a lounge area with an honesty bar and a library, with a commitment to continually develop new amenities.

2 What kind of services do you provide?

We offer various services to enhance our guests’ experience. Through our website, guests can book plane tickets and rental cars, request babysitting services and have their groceries stocked for a fully-stocked fridge upon arrival. Additionally, guests will have the option to place orders with the local bakery, which will be delivered to our location. Furthermore, guests can also sign up, during peak season, for weekly dining events organized by the quinta.
